California etiquette is pretty darn lax.

Here is where all the escapists from the strict northeast and the even stricter south come!

While the are similarities in how one conducts themselves in a dining room, I HAVE seen hats being allowed (more likely barely tolerated) in formal restaruants, hawaiian shirts used in place of suits and ties, and elbows on the table are practically a MUST!

Gah. I don't really LIKE seeing these etiquette no-nos, but they're here and in abundance...

Social grace is being able to make others feel comfortable in any given situation.

I've seen these tools used to make others feel like toads.

Still, eveyone should have them at their disposal.
