I've never been a fan of pageants but the Miss America Pageant was an American institution and then somebody (Trump?) crapped it up.

I remember when i was a student at Arkansas Miss America 1995( Heather Whtestone) and my roommate were friends and i got to meet her when she was on campus for a speaking tour. Thats was pretty cool!
I use to be one of the many who sat there and watched that pageant every year with my girlfriends growing up with our make shift crowns and spectors. I still watch it to this day when i can find which channel they shuffled it around too.
