Sisterhood Day (Sunday)

I was nervous today that I wouldn't get asked back to any of the two houses. Each PNM could visit up to 4 houses today, so my chances of getting asked back were slim. Luckily, I was asked back to both Cindy and Marcia.

Cindy: I felt more comfortable going to this house today. I met some more wonderful girls, who I shared deep conversations with. I watched a video today about their sisterhood. Their sisterhood is pretty strong, but they seemed to considered with winning. They bragged about being Intramural Champions and having one of their sisters as Homecoming Queen. I think it's great that they are so proud of their achievements, but it seemed like they were trying too hard to get girls to join their sorority.

Marcia: The girls in this sorority were sweet to me as usually. I carried on a great conversation with one girl. We had some much in common. But the last sister who talked to me was very quiet. She didn't seem to connect with me. I watched their sisterhood video at the end of the party. I loved it! The sisters have such a wonderful bond. Almost every single girl in this sorority ended up crying while watching their video. I could tell that they cared so much for each and every one of their sisters.

I ranked the sororities after my final party. Every PNM could visit up to 2 houses tomorrow.

Marcia
Cindy

Tomorrow was the big day. I was so excited!!!

Pref Day/Bid Night (Monday)

I had the hardest time going to sleep Sunday night. I was so excited about Monday; I was going to find out which sorority was going to be my new home. At six o'clock in the morning, I was woken up by the loud ringing of my cell phone. I looked down at the caller id and I saw my Pi Chi's name. I answered the phone hesitantly. My Pi Chi called to inform me that I wasn't asked back to any of the houses. She tried to reassure me but it didn't work. As soon as I hung up the phone with here, I cried nonstop. I was in such a state of shock. I couldn't believe that I wasn't asked back to any of the houses.

A week later, Cindy had COB since they didn't meet quota. So I thought I'd give it a try. The girls in the sorority remembered me. One of the girls couldn't believe I didn't receive a bid. She thought there must have been a mistake. Apparently there wasn't. I never received a bid to Cindy.

Currently, I'm not affiliated with a sorority. Hopefully my school will be doing spring recruitment. I would like to give it another try.

Thank you for reading my story. Sorry that it wasn't a happy ending...
Any advice or words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for sharing. It's okay that your thread wasn't a happy ending. Recruitment ends differently for everyone and having different recruitment threads posted here gives PNMs who read GC a chance to see that.

Best of luck to you with spring.
