I think the most positive thing that has come out of being in a sorority, for me, has been the increase in confidence. With 70 some girls consistantly pushing me to excell and get involved, it's hard not to get the confidence you need.
I was talking with a woman who is the secretary of our Student Government; one of MANY activities I have been a part of. She said in the past three years alone, she has noticed me change drastically. She said that I had confidence and class and I'm a warm and friendly person. For her to see that and tell me what she thought was very nice. And I believe I owe all of that to the greek life and my sorority.
Had I not gone greek, I don't think I would have pushed myself as hard. And that wouldn't have been from lack of self confidence, but rather being afraid of joining things on campus. I would have been, like someone above said, another wall flower.
