I think that they are a colony (see her sig) of the SAEPi from Sorority Life, which has added several chapters since the show aired.

She meant "they" as in "the original founding girls in the chapter at Berkeley."

That's what I originally thought, but didn't see anything on the SAEPi website about that colony. It's on Wikipedia now, though.
