i've seen a lot of athletes in top condition pass out or puke after an intense workout, especially when they are getting back into shape, like at football camp. ask yourself 2 questions... 1) am i out of shape, and perhaps i need something a little more low impact b4 tackling ballet excercises? and 2) am i breathing?
the most common mistake i see with new weightlifters is they don't breathe. if you push the air in your lungs back down, your body actually has a reflex that will make you pass out (i can't think of what it is called at the moment). but a couple weeks of light jogging, power walking, and stretching might be a good idea b4 you try to tackle pilates.
