This is Bid Day! In the morning, potential new members will receive their invitation to join a sorority. New members will then go to the Panhellenic Bid Day Ceremony on Willard Lawn. Parents can go to the Student Union Ballroom at noon on Bid Day to find out what chapter has extended an invitation for membership to their daughter. Parents will be directed to the chapter houses to meet up with daughters for afternoon activities. There will be food, DJs, pictures, new member meetings, parent meetings, etc!
I'm surprised to see such heavy involvement on Bid Day for parents. Is this common nowadays?
In the south it is at some schools; at others, parents will show up to take pictures when bids are handed out, then they will leave.
I don't know of any schools in the north or west that you would see it.
I have emails out to my OState sisters, but they are being ...... absent!!! I am dying to know how Cowboy rush went, but so far no news. Word was, that quota would be around 50.
