Dear DHL,
You should close your doors and go out of business. After you leave the first blackberry on the porch, you go and do the exact same thing! Only this time I prove that I am smarter than you and change the address to a house. I urge noone to use your delivery method! DHL I want to fight you but I wouldn't because I've moved out of the hood. Don't think I won't take it back there, if need be!

Dear Graduate School,

After careful consideration, I have come to the following conclusion--YOU SUCK. I left a city in which I was perfectly comfortable and, aside from abandoning the only family and friends I had near me, I left behind a WONDERFUL man who genuinely cared for me. Do you have any idea how often that happens to me?!?! Now, I'm sitting here wishing I was where he is and if God sees fit, I will be in approximately 2 weeks. So there.

And to all those who succeeded in making sure I don't graduate on time:

Dear Self,

This has been quite a year (so much better than 28 so far ). You have had some amazing experiences and met some good folks.

Try not to worry so much about what it all means. Try not to anticipate what will happen tomorrow. Just enjoy and appreciate each day and each moment as it comes.

The year ahead looks equally promising. A new place, a chance to accomplish something great. More, what are sure to be, fabulous experiences. Sure, it will be hard and sad to leave the familiar but try to embrace the change. The advice above definitely applies.

Looking forward to seeing what you do in the next year.
