How much of the other ticket sites are gouging?
I feel more comfortable buying directly from The Fox/Ticketmaster. I think I need 6 tix.

That seems very high. I didn't see it in Atlanta. But I had floor seats, off to the side, weeknight, and mine were in the $70 range two years ago. $300 rediculous for the lower sections.

I started a thread on this a year or so ago...I was shocked by Atlanta prices so we're going to see it in Birmingham in April. It's a lot cheaper, especially if you get group rates (20 or more). I bet you could get a good group rate in Atlanta too.

Lets see, I think our Wicked tickets were like $70 bucks and that was with our discount for purchasing season tickets. Hey, I'm just thrilled that it is coming back to Gammage, since it came here last year for like 1 week and it sold out in like a day.

Those Atlanta prices are much lower than Detroit. I just got front row side tickets to Wicked for $88 a piece. The main floor center were $143 a piece. 1st Mezzanine were $68.
Those were the discounted ones for purchasing season tickets.

[In most venues] I really recommend buying season tickets (if it's not too late) to get the Wicked tickets. Most venues will let you buy cheap-cheap seats to all of the other shows and then upgrade your Wicked tickets to whereever you REALLY want them. I'm glad I did it, because single Wicked tickets here sold out in SIX HOURS. I would not have had the kind of time to wait in line/troll ticketmaster.com/spend 3 hours on the phone. And, with the season ticket discount, it really was only a couple dollars more than single tickets - and WAAAAAY less than you would pay a 3rd party/scalper/ebayer.

When I saw Wicked in Seattle, I think our tickets for the balcony were $90 + fees.

Wicked wasn't included in the season tickets for Detroit. However, the people with season tickets got a chance at purchasing tickets first. Rent isn't included in the season tickets either.
