if you go to indiana(which it sounds like from your description of the recruitment process), i think that you should have your recs. sent before those open houses they have in the fall. i think the invitation lists are made after those opens houses. sending the recs. might be a moot point , if some of the sororities do not invite you back to the invitation only parties because they did not receive a rec. before their decision was made.
