How can anyone possibly take these hosts seriously? I've been to state and local pageants in the Miss America system that have better hosts. The only reason I can possibly think of to have Mel B is to give it an international flavor.
According to the Miss Tean USA website, it's scheduled for August 16th on Paradise Island. http://www.missteenusa.com/ Ok, so why would you have any "USA" pageant outside the United States?
Honestly, I think pageants are out of hand.

I've already set my DVR for tonight for Miss Universe. Cheering on USA and Canada (I'm Canadian, but I lived in the US since I was 6)
As for Miss Teen USA...I thought I heard it was going to be in the Bahamas. To be honest, not sure if Paradise Island is in the Bahamas or not.

Because of time differences, they've already done the pageant. You can go to http://www.missuniverse.com and there's already links up to show top 15, top 10, and the top 5. I'm holding out...I want to see it later!

Yes, Paradise Island is part of the Bahamas.

Ummmm, nope! I think you jinxed her!
She clearly stepped on her dress, twice. After that, she held it out of her way. Don't they practice with their actual dress and shoes on?

Because you can get a good rate holding the pageant there during hurricane season and it's a lot more appealing than Wichita, KS (which was a possible location). Unfortunately, it's cost-prohibitive for a lot of families/friends of the contestants to attend.
The daughter of a coworker is competing, which is the only reason I know this.

I think the dresses they wear at the beginning are GORGEOUS!!!!
Do they change their names for the pageant? It just seems like a lot of these names sound very "American."
