What kind of pedometer do y'all have?
I've tried 3 models with very different totals...one changes when I barely look at it.

I have the Omron Pocket Pedometer - Model HJ-112.

I'm still working on getting the stride right. I tested it at the gym earlier and it is off. I couldn't figure out how to reset the stride there, so I came home and studied the manual. I THINK I have it now, so I will check it again tomorrow.

I had it in my purse today and it was doing a great job of keeping up with my steps.

Mine is a Robic. They had a lot of different ones with different features at the sporting goods store near me but they were all Robics. I guestimated at the stride. I don't think it's quite fair that us short people have to take extra steps to walk to the same distance <grin>

Good news I found the cheapie (free) pedometer that seemed to work the best.
Bad news I found it when I was taking the clothes out the finished wash cycle.
Good news is I bought one like DD and Lion; it should be here Monday or Tuesday.
Stay tuned...

I'm pending administrator approval. I guess they're cross referencing with IHQ?

I'll just recycle the pedometer I got from the JDRF walk I did. I think I know where it is.

Do you think I can count the warm up and cool down (or the intermediate I have to walk I feel like I am going to die) when I'm running?

I also just bought a cute bike, so I'm walking less, though once winter comes my bike will hang out indoors when it is icy.

I think you can count any miles logged in on foot. There is some debate currently on the web site as to whether you can count other forms of exercise or how to convert other forms to "miles walked" so keep an eye out on the site, once you're in.

To make it easy to keep track, I'm just marking down miles every 25 miles and then clearing the pedometer. Goofy me forgot to take the pedometer to the mall with me when I took my girlie shopping Saturday. I know we walked the whole mall once on the lower level and one on the upper level. Perhaps their mall walkers part of the web site has some mention of distances.

Well that means not just the treadmill, but the eliptical trainer is in, but I guess not the bike. Oh what about roller skates? I can put on my leg warmers and blast Xanadu.

While it has not been a good week for me to get to the gym [pesky migraine, occasionally pesky children, and pesky work got in the way], today I hit 100 miles since convention .

Looking forward to the kids going back to school on Monday and getting back into my regular gym routine. Tomorrow morning [guess it's really a few hours from now] I'm planning Interval training on the elliptical as well as a full circuit of the weights - I can't wait!
