IMO, the only members in our respective orgs who are worthy of being labeled as "famous" would be the founders of each org. These pioneering men and women laid the foundation for each of our orgs. As college students in a time when being BLACK was not easy, these men and women struggled for what we have today -- not just our orgs, but a lot of the rights and privileges that we take for granted. XX amount of years ago, our founders had visions for sisterhood and brotherhood, scholarship, service, and the upliftment of our people and our communities.
Anyone else might have notoriety in another field, but those founding fathers and mothers of the Divine Nine orgs laid foundations in our orgs as well as the Black community.

Greetings everyone! I'm new on Greekchat and was checking out what my fellow Greeks had to say. But I agree w/ you CrimsonTide. I have the upmost respect for my seven founders. Women who peservered in at a white school in klan land! Who sought and education when it was hard to do as not only a black, but as a women.
But I'm curious. I've been laughing as I read some of the post. Why would someone be "shocked" that a certain individual who is deemed as being famous pledged a certain frat or sorority? ALL our organizations have great foundations and should be held w/ the upmost respect! Does someone think a certain organization is not "good enough" to hold these members of prestige and influence? Not trying to cause an arguement, just curious.
Please respond. I'm interested in an answer.
