You're a spectacle. You look stupid. You look like you can't dance on your own and/or have no social skills. We could blame it on the alcohol but the other tipsy Greeks weren't hopping/strolling.

(ETA: I've seen non-Neos jokingly hop/stroll at GROWN FOLKS dressed-up affairs--they weren't the only Greeks joking around so they didn't look dumb--and they knew when to play it off as a joke and get back to mixing and mingling with the GROWN FOLKS.)
