Well its Sunday morning and what am i doing? I'm up with a little man that thinks its better for him to sleep in my arms than on his own. And heaven forbid i turn off the lights and try to rest myself. LOL! men! Mr. Owen Jacob AKA Jake arrived on Wednesday morning and here is his very quick story.
Our induction was moved from Monday to Wednesday the 25th. I went into the hospital at 530am to get everything started. I was about 2 cms and 80%. At 7am my doc broke my water and started the pitocin, again about 2cm and 80%. Since this is baby #3 for me, we all expected it to go quickly, but weren't quite prepared for how quickly it actually went. At 745 I asked for my epidural. Done at 815. At 945 I had a very strong urge to push. So we called the nurse who was quite shocked to announce that I was complete and calling the doc. The doc arrived at 10am and we started the process of pushing. FIrst push and his head was out. Second push and he was out. Yep. 10:12am Owen Jacob arrived weighing 7lbs even and 19inches long. 3 Hours total time in labor and 2 pushes. Man I can't imagine if I have another one how quickly it might go.
