I only know him from this song, but didn't know much else. When I did a search, I found out he was in the group Playa. I still rock "Cheers 2 U." He's been dead since February. Sad.

I was happy to see/hear Maxwell too; I used to be a huge fan (still am). I hope he grows the fro again also, it was beautiful and it was not a weave. For his second studio album (Embrya), he wore it mostly in braids. See pictures below:
