I met this awesome couple last summer, and she was super pregnant. I don't remember what they were gonna name the kid, but it seemed so cool with their family. It was something mono-syllabic that you call a 50-yr old man, not a baby. Jack? Bob? No...it was cooler than that.
Ohohoh, I feel like everyone has an uncle with the same name as one of mine. Who else has an Uncle Bob, Tom, or Larry? Yeahhh!

lol! I have all three--Uncle Bob, Uncle Thomas (there are other Toms in the family so he goes by Thomas) and Uncle Larry (who I have never met, Mom says he is super weird!) My boyfriend has two of three, Bob and Tom. I'm cracking up!

I named my daughter Grace Erin. Grace is after my grandmother who is still living. Erin was on a short list from my husband's favorite aunt- we couldn't name her Verneal "Vernie". That would have been cruel and Aunt Vernie said so!
My son is named Jadon Spencer. Jadon was the only boy name I liked. I ended up being only 26 weeks pregnant when I had him, so I didn't have a lot of time to choose. Spencer is his dad's first name. I was going to give him the middle name Daniel after my dad, but it just seemed right to name him after his dad.
I didn't know how popular Grace was until after naming my daughter, but I wouldn't change it since it has family meaning. I also didn't know any Jadon, but there are everywhere in his school!
I tend to lean on some of the older girly names too
Sophia
Olivia
Emma- I agree Friends ruined the name

Those are the only options for the names of my first two daughters (if I'm blessed with children) and I'm only 22! I had no idea those were old names.
But, I have decided on one middle name--Olivia Christine.

Don't forget - you have to factor in the last name. As much as I wanted to use the family name Jackson, had I had a boy with my first husband, I couldn't have used it. Jackson Thompson just doesn't work!

Yeah. I used to dig the name Bailey but it rhymes with my husband's last name. (I hyphenated my name when we got married and it drives me crazy enough having to constantly spell it and explain what a hyphen is that I would never saddle a kid with the hyphenated last name.)
For a boy I like:
Jonas
Graydon (family name but everybody is an -ayden nowadays)
John (Jack)
Michael as a middle name - every male in my husband's family has the middle name of Michael
Girls:
Evelyn
Kendall
Isla
I also like Grace, Kathleen or Elizabeth (family name) as middle names

Maybe it shouldn't, but it really does surprise me how many people seem baffled by hyphenated last names. It's not like this a brand new concept ... My husband and I (we have the same last name, but hyphenated) will give people our driver's licenses so they can copy it down from there, and they STILL will get confused. Not that hard, people ...
