Anyway, yay an SK at Duq, related to honeychile.
My uncle is my biological uncle. He has no child by either wife. By his first wife, he has a niece, "Leslie" (his wife's sister's child) and by his sister (my mother), he has a niece (me). "Leslie" & I aren't related, except going to the same family events (and being ADPis!).

His second wife has a daughter whose daughter (my uncle's step-daughter) has a daughter ("Jill"). "Jill" is the new Sigma Kappa. Again, "Jill" & I aren't related, except through the family events.

So, the three of us are all kinda-cousins, no blood or step relationships.

Your uncle's step daughter would be your step-cousin, wouldn't she?

Plenty of us are familiar with one or both of UofO and OSU.

Everytime I see anything related to the PNW, I always think of you.

However, for those that don't know there are at least 3 other colleges with greek systems in Oregon besides these schools. Maybe she just like Uof O. Its just a thought.

Sorry . . . but you asked.

The number of possible parties depends on where she is going through recruitment. In regard to Pref, generally it's 2 or 3 parties (this also depends on her university).

Regarding your double-blind question, the PNMs know who invited them to parties, and the GLOs know who accepted their party invitations. Unless something is said at the parties (which I think is not allowed), neither should know the other's choices (there are vague ways of communicating how much a PNM likes a GLO and vice versa without breaking the rules). The actual bid matching process is kind of confusing to explain, so I won't try. However, the GLOs get the list of their NMs before the NMs find out where they got a bid.

I can't imagine not being able to know any info--look how impatient we get for info in retro recruitment threads!!! Hang in there, momof3--we're rooting for your daughter to find her home away from home.
