I have heard stories/comments of "Senior Members/Party Leaders/Party Sources" et al for over twenty years and Nothing ever showed up out of most of them.
Just enough is said to make people think that they heard or saw something.
This is just another way to spread mis-statements or falsehoods by way of rumors and innuendos.
