Really, how's it different? Because one refers mainly to African-Americans and one refers mainly to whites? Yeah, that's what I meant earlier about expecting to be babied. I don't care if you call me trailer-trash, and I certainly wouldn't expect you to be banned for it. But, to heck with it, I'm gonna go ahead and say, if I actually used the term "hood-rat" to refer to someone, I'd be gone in an instant.

(Sorry mods: it was kind of silly to try to make the double standard point and having to talk in code to do it, so edit this if need be, but I'm trying to be good!)
