How soon to send in rec letters?

Hi ladies-
I'm going to be writing a rec letter for my cousin this fall (yay!) and was curious how soon I should send it in? This is going to be the first one I've written, so I wasn't sure.

As soon as you want! But follow up with the Sponsorship Director or VP Membership at the chapter you are sending it to just to make sure it is still with them closer to recruitment. Keep a copy for yourself also in case you need to resend!

Send it now, but definitely do a follow-up.
