The young women of the Wingate Colony are great and full of enthusiasm. They have a lot of energy.
It had been a long time since I attended a pledging ceremony (I graduated in ’82). It was a very moving ceremony and brought back a lot of memories. There were quite a few alums from around the area and beyond. A great advantage to the colony is that a member of the staff at Wingate University is Alpha Xi alum.
The greek community was very supportive with the greek advisors and representatives of the 2 other sororities and the fraternities in attendance at the reception.
