What color did your chapter wear for Prefs?

We wear white while most other chapters wear black. This was really contraversial several years ago when the (former) Bama Admin pushed recruitment beyond Labor Day. This may sound silly to some, but it's the South. White after Labor Day? We had a chapter debate/vote on whether we should change. We decided to keep it just because it made us unique amongst the other chapters on campus. Fortunately for this reason and so many others that are far more important, we were happy when recruitment returned to Aug the week before school.

We wore black dresses (not cocktail dresses, more like church-appropriate dresses) with our badges. In fact I remember being told that we couldn't rush someone during prefs without our badges on. We also had to wear black hose and black heels. NOONE was allowed to wear nude hose.

pretty much all of the other sororites wore black as well.

I have no idea what they wear now!

Mid-80's rush. Wine (why couldn't we have used silver blue instead?)polyester satin floor length dresses. Pouffy short sleeves, drop waisted. We looked like bridesmaids from hell.
