I really wish Jason's fans would listen to his performances with their eyes closed. He can't sing! Most of the rest of them are getting boring.

I'm looking forward to a David vs. David (Cupcake vs. Cookie) Finale.....with Cookie winning it.

Le sigh... KLC is no more. Now, hopefully Castration will go next!

C. R. A. P.!!!!!!!!!!

I got so excited there for a minute when Carly & Castro were together -- I thought, oh, add Brooke to that and that's my dream bottom 3!!!! Then they moved David C. over there and the bottom fell out.

Poor Kristy Lee, I just thought she was adorable. I hope she gets her horse back.

Oh, and I need to download that Mariah song, it had me all teary (especially after Elliott's note on his hand for his Mom ).

I agree! Honestly, I didn't even bother to watch all the performances through and could really have cared less who got kicked off this week! I want the real American Idol back!

When is the Andrew Lloyd Webber week? I can't wait for that one!

I know I don't normally pop into any of these forums, but I couldn't resist with this topic!

It is SO irritating that the judges are always complaining that contestants need to pick songs that don't compare to the original performer, and then what do the producers do?

HAVE A MARIAH WEEK!

That's redemptive. I can't wait for Webber week next week! BTW, is anyone over the whole "On the Air with Ryan" Q/A session?

Next week.

Sigh. I really liked KLC.

Sorry, nittany, that your birthday wish didn't come true.

I loved, loved, loved David C's performance. The only version of "Music of the Night" that I have ever liked is Michael Crawford's. You don't get much better than Michael Crawford! I didn't think David would be able to pull this off. It was amazing. He has always been my favorite but now I like him even more.

Syesha was another favorite. She looked like she had a lot of fun up there.

Everyone else was good too except for Jason. Blech.

^^^Co-sign! Except I wasn't that fond of Brooke either (shocker, I know). And Carly actually had me tonight until she pulled that stupid t-shirt stunt. Then she got back on my annoying list. Castro and Brooke were definitely the weakest links tonight.

Rankings

1. Syesha- still in danger though
2. David C- had some good moments but not the best vocal
3. Carly- same critique as David C
4. David A- I was bored to tears
5. Brooke- just a wreck
6. Jason- I dont get this dude... never have.. tonight proved he has the weakest voice left and needs to go ASAP

Bottom 3 should be: David A, Brooke and Jason
Bottom 3 will be: Syesha, Brooke, Jason

Going home: Brooke

Holy hell.

Castro - I WANTED TO STAB YOU FOR TOUCHING, NO, THINKING OF SINGING MEMORY. What the fuck? You didn't know it was sung by a cat? Are you not smart enough to RESEARCH the songs you'll be singing? I know you have AT LEAST one week's notice. Do you not Google Memory AT ALL? Damn you. You made my ears bleed. I could have stood you doing Any Dream Will Do...

Brooke -- WHY, WHY, WHY would you pick one of ALW's WORST songs? For goodness' sake MADONNA sang the song. It's not a good performance song. She's dying. That's not a great thing to sing about... Brooke, you should have done the Narrator's prologue as mentioned below from JatATTD or how about I Don't Know How to Love Him from JCS? Everything's Alright from JCS?
I would, however, have done just like you did and restarted the song. You had just started it and it was the perfect way to get back on track. If you hadn't, Paula would have told you that you should have stopped. You can't win with her sometimes.

Carly -- THANK YOU for listening to ALW! You are so much better off for singing what you feel is more like YOU. Can't say enough.

Cook - That was hot. I have a bit of lust going on when you sing. That topped it off. I was worried about you singing this song and trying to possibly ROCK it. But, you kept it clean and beautiful like the original...I had you pegged for JCS for sure. Really pleasantly surprised.

David A. -- I didn't like what you did at all. That song should have stayed female. Simon was right. I have trouble remembering anything except you took one of the great songs and made it blase'.

Syesha -- You chose a song that worked for you. It wasn't terribly "Lloyd-Webberish" in that it was an easier melody than most. The range is not like most of his songs and you clearly went off pitch toward the end in your yelling. I like what you did. But, would have preferred you stretching yourself like Cookie or Carly. Hell, even Castro tried to do something great. You COULD have sung Memory and rocked it. You might have even been able to carry off Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again. But, you chose something easy.

My bottom three:
Syesha, Castro, Brooke.

And, Castro would leave.

Dammit, I kept waiting for a Joseph song... Any Dream Will Do??? Anyone? Or how about another one of my favorites: the Narrator's prologue to Joseph???

I can understand why people chose so many Phantom songs. It's one of my fave musical theatre shows. But, c'mon... Don't you pull up his songs and LISTEN before choosing? There are OTHER songs out there.

top 3
Syesha, AMAZING. She captured the genre, made it her own AND made it marketable to the A.I. audience

Cook- made me love my most HATED broadway song of all time. It was awesome.

Carly- perfect song choice

bottom 3
D. Archie- not evolving, losing appeal (don't think he'll make the actual bottom three, i think you'll need to switch him with Carly, or, unfairly, Syesha)

Castro- Lost the charm tonight. Nothing close to the rainbow!

Brooke- WTF? What was that?!? I wish i was there during rehearsal to see what ALW saw, cuz it was all gone when she hit the stage. She is my guess for going home.

FANTASTIC RUNDOWN

I haven't watched AI for most of the season--i wasnt impressed. BUT, i like ALW and i saw CATS as a child.

i was surprised you didnt see me on stage behind that castro dud with a knife? i wanted to cry that song was horrible. paula was soooo polite to this dude. i wanted to smack her.

for kids who love music so much they have no clue.

great assessment!!!!

Tippie, I agree with you. I don't know how the hayle Castro knew nothing about that song! He was awful, but I haven't gotten him from the beginning. David C., on the other hand was awesome!

Either Castro or Brooke goes tonight.

Tippie- Great review.

I actually missed the show, but who needs to watch when I can just get the Reader's Digest version from you in a much more entertaining format!

Honestly, I am losing interest in this season. David C is the only one left that is the least bit interesting to me. Can we just fast forward to the finals? Although it pains me to no end thinking about him having to sing some "Inside my Moment's Heaven" krapola song.

And seriously? Castro had no idea about Memory? What a bonehead.

U2 in 3D at the Imax was much better last night. Sounds like I made the right choice.
