The Official FOURTH time around!
Gather 'round my sisters, and sing this tale with me
It tells about our sisterhood and how it came to be.
The story starts in Georgia, in 1851
Where clasping hands for friendship as a symbol had begun.
Violets are our flowers, our colors white and blue
And as we live from day to day, they help us to be true.
To all the Alpha Delta Pis wherever they may be
So come my sisters, join your hands for our sorority!
Sing with me, my sisters, and raise your voices high
We Live For One Another and For Alpha Delta Pi!
Sisters we will always be, our friendships hold us true
And may we always pledge our love to the white and azure blue!

WOW! This is a biggie!
I believe in Alpha Delta Pi
I believe that my sorority
Is more than a ritual, more than a symbol
That it is a way of life.

When you love an Alpha Delta
You're a very special boy.
When you love an Alpha Delta
Your heart is full of joy!
She's the dearest girl, sincerest girl
Of all girls under the sun.
When you love an Alpha Delta
Your life has just begun!
FOURTH time? At my school, rounds meant as follows: first = sisterhood, second = lavaleering; third = pinning; fourth = engagement; fifth = baby. Never saw one go around five times, though.

I think it is that order, except at my chapter, we didn't do a sisterhood round.... so: first = lavaleering, second = pinning; third = engagement; fourth = baby.

Little ADPi, like a gem you are....
Oh Wait....
Whoooooosh!
I know what else can be a gem!

Sisters,
I'm very happy to announce that after 3 years of "trying", many types and doses of infertility drugs, 6 IUI's, and much soul searching and family discussion, my husband and I are finally EXPECTING a baby boy- through international adoption from Korea!
We are still in the paper work process and do not even know which baby will become our son, but technically we are expecting! At the end of April, we will be eligible for a referral, after we complete the 20 hours of training required. Our home study is already completed though, so that is the first step.
We chose Korea rather than domestic adoption for many reasons, chief of which my youngest brother was adopted from Korea as an infant.
We were #9 on the waiting list, last I heard. Once we do get the referral, it will still be another few months until he gets to come home due to immigration paper work. I'll keep you posted!

Yes, m'am, you are!!!!!
This brought tears to my eyes!!!
Just wait until you get a picture for the refrigerator!!! I'll never forget the day we got my daughter's pic. It was another 7 months before we could get her, but oh my goodness, oh my goodness, oh my goodness it was worth it!!!
What ages did you request??
(We requested ages three months to age 5. She was born in October, and we got her in July!)
Did I say how happy I am for you and your husband?

Wait, I already knew about this one
adpi*violet, I cannot WAIT until the day you get to hold your little boy in your arms - I know it's been a long time coming.
Hugs to adpi*violet (and Mr. adpi*violet for being the wonderful man he is to marry my wonderful sister!)
Love, polarpi
