this may be a stupid question but where do i get recs from? does it have to be from a girl that was in that specific sorority? or can it be from anyone in a sorority or has been in a soroity?

Recs come from women who are alumnae of the specific sororities. Sometimes members who are still in college can write a rec for someone going to another college, but this isn't true of all sororities.

Ask around and see if any of your friends that are a couple of years older, any of your parents' friends, teachers etc were in a sorority & can write a rec for you - you might be surprised!

If you keep coming up empty, go here

http://www.npcwomen.org/alumnae-panh...directory.aspx

and click on the city nearest to you. They can help you get in touch with sorority alumnae to obtain recs.

Good luck!
