How far do you have to count before you get to a number that begins with the letter "A"?
I had to think about it, but I finally got it. (duh)

There is no number that begins with the letter "A" (unless you count non-numbers like "a few" or "a dozen" or whatever). Alphabetically, even if we counted to infinity, the first number would be eight and the last number would be zero.
So, you'd have to either count really far and ultimately just give up, or you not count at all and just say it's not gonna happen.

My first thought was the no numbers start with letters (ie. "1" vs "one"). Don't know how right that would be.
