I was talking to another sister about this just today. We decided that, weather & schedules permitting, we'd gladly help out at W&L next winter.
We also decided that we both need to be independently wealthy so we can just go chapter to chapter, helping out (we wanted to go to Wake Forest, too!)! What a life!

WOW! How far is it for you Honey?? I would love to go, but it is really too far for a one day event, much less for a one evening event. (googlemaps puts it at 401 miles from me!). UDel was just about 2 hours and I had sisters with me to make it go by quickly!

It's between 3-4 hours, depending on the weather.

There's a recolonization presentation tonight at Huntington in Montgomery, AL. I'll be there with some of my sisters to convince them to recolonize the First & Finest! :]

So, from what I heard, they chose Phi Mu instead. :[
What was amazing, though, was hearing the shocking story of what happened when the Mu chapter closed in 1913--the president of the college outlawed all greek organizations. The founding women took all of their ritual items, etc., burned them and put the ashes in a "coffin". They locked the "coffin" and threw the key in the river. Sad...
Oh well, maybe one day...

It really breaks my heart when we lose an opportunity to recolonize a dormant chapter.

Is this really a true story? It sounds like an urban legend to me...

Yeah, it was a true story. They were reading excerpts from a diary. What a shame.. I was going to be a diamond sister if they'd picked ADPi!
