Ok, I am not on the Obama train at the moment but I do want to address this just in the interest of full disclosure.
First, this is not new "news", this all hit the fan right before/around the Ohio primary two weeks ago (which Obama lost, so even if he "lied" to garner favors with those voters, it didn't work).
Second, there's more information to the situation that has not gotten nearly as much coverage, because as we all know, the boring truth isn't nearly as delicious as the scandalous dirt. But much about that situation was blown well out of proportion and misrepresented and the Canadian government itself admitted to it. Here's another youtube clip for your viewing enjoyment:
