I think it's a poor excuse for people to "celebrate" a saint and go out and get wasted. Most people don't even know anything about St. Patrick.

When I lived in Santa Cruz (lo these 13 years ago), Stagnaro's, a restaurant on the wharf, always had a big Columbus Day festival.

I'm sure LucyKKG could tell us if they still do.

I actually have no idea. I know where that is, but I don't think I've ever eaten there. I should check it out next year.
