I like Edwards much less than Obama, but I'm not particularly likely to vote for either.

I don't think there'd be as much positive coverage if Obama weren't in the race. I think a lot of people, particularly in the media, are kind of desperate for someone to believe in after so many years of kind of compromised, tainted, or just kind of unlikable candidates. Obama is allowing some of them to set aside some of their cynicism, and they're really enjoying it.

I'm not sure that it would equal a solidly good presidency if he is elected but it's making the campaign better for some.
