Yayyy! I'm so glad our mascot inspired an entire thread! There was an argument years ago about whether it should be a sea lion or a banana slug. I'm glad the banana slug triumphed. No know predators, baby!

Slugs disgust me which means I had to look up why your school chose this unofficial mascot. Now it all makes sense but slugs are still gross.

I can't find any images, but Centre College used to be the "Prayin' Colonels". Now their just the "Colonels".
Campbell University is the "Camels".
And, let's go ahead and bring it up: The Rhode Island School of Design Nads.
