Philanthropy round can definitely be tough. My bet is they were trying to be trendy to compete with the chapter doing dreamcatchers. There is nothing that deters a good conversation and can put a bad taste in a pnm's mouth than a hard philanthropy project. It is the bane of many a chapter. It's hard to find something compelling and interesting that's easy to do. Many chapters on my alma mater often struggle on this night for one reason or another trying to keep things interesting by being too out there.
