Leslie Anne, Great Post. I only hope my son lives up to your list of what constitutes class and correct behavior because you are spot on!

Thanks, srmom. I'm sure he'll do fine with you as his guide.

Leslie Anne- you said it! And to add something a bit more vulgar but still a good judge-
If you see a sorority member drunk and needing to go home, do you a) walk her home and see that a sister or friend of hers takes care of her or b) take her back to the fraternity house and "see what happens".
Do you refer to sorority members as "soroistutes".
If you answered B and yes, then your GLO isn't very good.

See, PhiGam, I keep trying to give you a break and not want to think you're a complete shallow buffoon, but then you give the answers you have in this thread.
Here's the thing, for real, you'd get your ass kicked in the north. It's a good thing you're down where you are, with your boat shoes and your croakies and your anything-but-denim shorts. Stay with your peeps because you wouldn't make it on a campus up here. Glad you're so impressed with yourself and I hope it keeps working for you... in your little world.

My point, and I apologize for my flaw in clarity. was that our events, functions, community service, GPA, and Graduation Rate, were completely unnoticed. It wasnt untill we started winning that all of a sudden the undegrads at my Alma Mater received the academic excelance award with an overall gpa of 2.95 cumm, when we eclipsed the other orgs in 2001 with a gpa of 3.2 cumm the award went to an org with an overall 2.8. True they had 75 members but to my understanding the requirement was highest overall GPA. In addition most of the community service events we initiated were primarily rediculed and unsupported by a majority of the NPHC and other orgs even had events during our slots out of blatent disrespect. The same service intiatives we are still doing today, The Encarta Program for Middle School Kids, And of course The Saint Jude Foundation. Recently in the passed 2 years, we have had an influx of support and partnership from various GLO's. Could this be because of the national exposure We give the Service initiatives? We were on local television and the radio after one of the shows and we pubbed the service initiatives and our struggles there in to reach the masses. We have always supported our community financialy, part of our dues structure (chapter wize) is allocated to donating a certain amount simi-annually to the the county in mention, and big Bro's and Sis's. Money helps the cause Greatly but over all its people who make the Biggest differnce and its hard to reach those people when collectively the over all mind set is "They didnt win Greek Fest so they wack"? This could all just be by coincidence but again I say the people have spoke loud and clear.
"back then they didnt want me, Now we winning Shows and they all on me"
were is the integrity?
So what realy defines how good an ORG is, is really dependant upon the person asking the question. There is truely no Real Landmark or criteria to Judge this by cause regionaly some things or what some may see as important could vary.
My 63 cents
