OK so a couple weeks ago I was cutting up onions and I cried for like an hour. How do I make that not happen?
I thought you were supposed to put bread in your mouth and hold it there while you chop. I haven't tried it, but this is not a joke. Really.

Yup, it works. Bread or a cracker.

This sounds insane, but open your freezer door and stick your face in for a few seconds. The tears go away quickly. (I saw Bobby Flay do this on Food Network once and I tried it and it worked!)

Beef and Bean Burritos

1 pound ground sirloin
1 1/2 tablespoons chili powder
1 teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 cup salsa (fresh or from a jar)
1 (15 ounce) can black beans, drained and rinsed
1 cup cooked rice
1 tablespoon fresh cilantro, finely chopped
Flour tortillas (10-inch)

Toppings:
sour cream
chopped tomatoes
shredded lettuce
shredded colby-jack cheese

In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook ground sirloin until no longer pink. Drain if necessary. Add chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salsa, rice, cilantro and black beans; cook over medium heat until heated through.

Spoon meat mixture in the middle of flour tortilla. Top with toppings. Fold and roll tortilla burrito-style. Serves 6 to 8.
