I have a pair of pants like that, and so does just about every girl I know. When I was visiting a my ex at his school about 2 years ago, he made the 'sorority pants' comment when I pulled them out of my bag. But the way he said it sounded so degrading. Of course, after he explained himself, it was even worse. Seems that at *his* school, girls wearing those pants are considered *hoochies* or whatever you want to call them in your area, but not very *nice* girls, and incidently, those same girls make up a majority of the sororities at his school. Basically, he and his friends call them sorority pants as a put down. So ever since then, I've not thought of the term 'sorority pants' to be a good one. This isn't to 'put anyone down'. Like I said, I have a pair myself, just thought that it was a interesting twist.
