What SoCalGirl said.
Even though the minimum GPA is what it is, keep in mind that there will be girls rushing with better GPAs. Some sororities might consider you a grade risk. If you really really really want to do it, then do it...but prepared just in case you don't get a bid because of your grades.

The higher your GPA, the better your chances. I'd advise you to wait and get your GPA up to a 2.5 or better. If you choose to rush with a 2.4, be aware that some sororities may cut you because of your grades.

I personally don't think there's much of a difference between a 2.4 and a 2.5 GPA in your situation. Just because a 2.5 will meet the minimum of every chapter doesn't mean you're safe from being cut as a grade risk. You can try spring, but you will have fewer options, if any. Continue to improve your grades and you may be more successful in the fall.

Cali_gossip, If you rushed last spring and are thinking of it again, you must be a sophomore, right? I don't know how important grades are at your school, but if you are really interested in a sorority, I think you should seriously consider doing it again now. If you wait until next year, you'll be a junior and that might be a bigger strike against you than grades. (At least if the requirement is truly 2.0. If it's 2.5, you might not be allowed to rush).

I like to think that grades are of the utmost importance, and would assume that all 26 NPC sororities feel the same way.
