To back up my fellow sister and as another extremely devoted DPhiE, our mascot is relatively new compared to the founding of our sorority. We didn't adopt a mascot until the 1980's and it was adopted simply because we didn't have one and unicorns were very popular in the 1980's. If we are unsure of the meaning behind the unicorn it has nothing to do with the lack of respect or knowledge we have for our sorority. Plus our symbol is entirely different from our mascot...
