Freshman girls, most away from home for the first time, and no internet access or cell phones?

I wouldn't be shocked to find out that it made some girls drop. I am hoping once the story is over we find out where they went to school. There is no way I would have gave up my computer and cell phone for a full week, that's just wrong.
