Well your post adds to the subjective nature of this entire thread discussion. But since we're still typing:
I don't consider drug abusers to only be victimizing themselves. An illustration of who drug abusers hurt can be seen in shows such as "Intervention."
I consider Rick James to have been more talented than Elvis Presley's thieving ass. Young Elvis was okay but still one of the artists back then who got credit when it wasn't due. But James and Presley were both junkies (perhaps among other things).
And I consider Ike Turner to have been extremely talented during his prime. The story of Ike and Tina wasn't one of a completely talentless man looking for a meal ticket but rather a talent scout, producer, and song writer who found someone to be the lead.
