Okay that helps a lot. I think it's just paranoia because I know of several upperclassmen rushing again who did not pledge as a freshman, but I think that is because they did not maximize their options or had their heart set on one or two sororities. I'm planning on attending every party I am invited to because you never know, even one I didn't initially consider might be the best fit for me. My school does a "Fall Parties" weekend where we visit each sorority over the course of a weekend to get a feel for each one and then we cut 2 of them, and there are two sororities that are supposedly not very good that most people plan on cutting before they even visit them, but I remember being pleasantly surprised with one of them and I ended up not cutting them.
