I just had so much trouble tracking the president of the local alum group down that when I didn't hear anything else from her, I was totally thrown.
As for the "in good standing"... my understanding is that it refers to financial balances owed, and I have no problems there. My confusion springs from reading on the application to volunteer that I have to be an active member of an alumnae chapter. So, my thought was....
HELLO? I contacted this person because I've had so much trouble hooking up with the alumnae chapter, and I would love to be involved again. So, she sends me something through which I could work with the org, but I have to be an active alum to do so. How does that work???
