It was rude, but the poster is Rudey. Anyway, the Tribe won, the bloated salary lost, and Cleveland advances to the playoffs.
I just goes to show George can't buy himself a winning team.

Listen you're repetitive about the salaries. Just shutup about it. If your crappy team beat the Yankees why does it matter? Oh wait it doesn't, and you're using redundant lines just so you sound cool.
It's even more annoying that your name is "Benzgirl" and you're criticizing what other people "buy".
-Rudey
--Oh and you were so very clever and witty saying I'm rude because I'm Rudey.

To be fair, the Yankees won 94 games this year (the Tribe won 96 in a considerably easier division), and "salary cost/win" is a completely useless exercise because the Yankees earn more marginal revenue per win (and per dollar spent) . . . so yeah, it's not like the Yankees are a clearly inferior team, especially considering the crapshoot nature of short-series baseball.
Plus, this Yankees team really doesn't represent the "bloat" in the same fashion as some past units - two of their top-5 pitchers by VORP are making under 500k (and 4 of the top 10), as well as 2 of their starting 9 (who also happen to be quite solid contributors according to any measure).
Look, I'm a massive Red Sox fan and think the "Yankee mystique" is propagated by douche bags and half-informed tards - still, though, this is kind of a weird needling, and doesn't really fit with any sort of reasonable analysis.

I'm not going to gloat, especially because I haven't seen much love for the Red Sox here. But I am, and will always be, a Sox fan. Win, lose, whatever.
GO SOX!

I understand just how hard it may be for you to defend the Yank. But thanks for very kind posting.
Which I do agree with.

His beard is killing me! But, we love him anyway.
My 16 year old niece is in love with Garko, and keeps begging to stay up to watch the games on school nights.
Glad to have Iowa behind the Tribe.

I'll send his parents a thank-you card on behalf of all the Red Sox fans on Earth.
He had the. Worst. Hour. Ever.
