And name the only team, out of eight, that is repeating their place in playoffs from last year. Hummmm.

That somehow air currents change-via HVAC or doors.
Said changes either help home team or hinder visitors.
Most of the stories I have heard or read, IIRC, are football related.

There was a base ball movie a few year back that seemed to have a scene that played off of the story:
Manager had lights/power turned off and called it a power failure.

 | Gotcha. I read (while trying to figure out what you were talking about) that they (MLB) have separate rules just for the Homer Dome re: balls hitting the ceiling and speakers b/c it's so low!

Either way, the tribe obviously didn't bring their "game winning strategy" (bugs or air currents) along with them to NY.

Have an AMAZING time at your game! The boys will have a few days' rest, which rocks. I think Beckett is pitching.

 | How Rude.
I liked it better when we were talking about baseball.
I also liked it better when the yankees were winning!

I just goes to show George can't buy himself a winning team.

 | Listen you're repetitive about the salaries. Just shutup about it. If your crappy team beat the Yankees why does it matter? Oh wait it doesn't, and you're using redundant lines just so you sound cool.

It's even more annoying that your name is "Benzgirl" and you're criticizing what other people "buy".

 | To be fair, the Yankees won 94 games this year (the Tribe won 96 in a considerably easier division), and "salary cost/win" is a completely useless exercise because the Yankees earn more marginal revenue per win (and per dollar spent) . . . so yeah, it's not like the Yankees are a clearly inferior team, especially considering the crapshoot nature of short-series baseball.

Plus, this Yankees team really doesn't represent the "bloat" in the same fashion as some past units - two of their top-5 pitchers by VORP are making under 500k (and 4 of the top 10), as well as 2 of their starting 9 (who also happen to be quite solid contributors according to any measure).

Look, I'm a massive Red Sox fan and think the "Yankee mystique" is propagated by douche bags and half-informed tards - still, though, this is kind of a weird needling, and doesn't really fit with any sort of reasonable analysis.
