I think I've kept Bridezilla in check for the most part...but lord, I'm just waiting for something to happen. Eesh. I go tomorrow for my final dress fitting and makeup trial. Yay!

Who here has gotten married recently? come brag - show pics....give advice you wish you would have known before hand.

I cant wait to go on my honeymoon with my honey (haha). Cancun, here I come!

Next month, it will be 10 years for me. Here is my advice for the next month:

1. Get enough sleep. It will make you feel better, look better, and think clearly.

2. Designate, designate, designate. Chances are, your friends/family will jump at the chance to "do something" for the wedding or beforehand.

3. Take some time each day to ground yourself. Do the same for your fiance. Even just a five minute phone call can do the job.

4. Remember that the reception is really for your guests. Don't stress about every little detail, because people aren't going to remember what they ate or if you had a trinket to give to them at the end of the night.

5. Let mom/dad/whomever wants to take control of things, take control. Less stress for you!!!

At the end of the day, all that matters is you and your husband (to be). You are going to be your own family. Two become one. A unified front.

Good luck and may your day be everything you hope it will be.

My advice is to let people help you. When I was planning my wedding, I wanted everything done a certain way so I would just do it myself. I was so tired and in the last few weeks I just had to start turning stuff over to my bridal party and family.

Just remember that the wedding isn't as important as the marriage. And, in fact, if something goes wrong (and it probably will), you'll have something to look back on and laugh about.

Oh, and have someone who knows what they're doing freeze the cake for your one year anniversary. Hubby and I had just a bite of some seriously freezer-burned, and therefore not too tasty, wedding cake.
