That's awesome news that Bama will use COB. I'm really proud of them. They've come a long way in the past 19 years.

up until a few months ago, when I started reading some of this stuff here, I knew nothing about Bama, had never heard of top tier, old row, Lilly sundresses or Vera bradley. I guess I always thought rush at southern schools was just more formal but wow. So different. And yet you Bama Gamma Phis stomp in spite of all that. You have so much to be proud of! Your new pledge class is amazing...which means the actives are inspiring greatness. I just have so much respect for all of you as sisters!

And Eta chapter: WOW. I could hear the screaming from here!

Thank you! The chapter is really flourishing and continuing to grow. I think that after two decades, a lot of the "growing pains" of being the newest chapter at Bama are behind us. I'm so excited and proud to be a member of the advisory board.

I remember when I went through rush in 1987, AOII and KAO were the "new" chapters and had been there for 20 years (came on campus in 1967). It was mentioned a lot during rush that they were the newest sororities, even though both had very strong reputations and houses. I matched for bid day, but not with my 1st or 2nd choice, so I dropped out. I was glad as my Sophomore year, GPhiB came to 'Bama, and my mom was a GPhiB! Now 20 years later, GPhiB seems to be finally making great strides and establishing themselves as a solid house. It seems the 20year mark is a bit of a "milestone" at Bama.
