Ok, I need to wrap this up-
Summer is reaching an end. There were still parties being held, but my son, who was finishing a summer school class, could only attend a few. Of course, he chose to only attend Boon events. Each time he went to college town, he stayed with some Boon actives who are awesome
(that is mom talking - honestly, those guys have been wonderful to my son!)
They told my son that he had to be sure to attend a certain weekend, which luckily was the weekend after his final. So, Thursday he left for college town. There were parties each night where he saw more of the actives, but also, the guys he would pledge with. He called me on Friday and said that he was headed to the Salvation Army to buy a suit. The rushees had decided to get "suited up" for the party Saturday night.
Well, it was quite a party! This was the night that bids were extended!!!
My son did not have to even think about it.... He immediately signed his card, and is now a pledge of.........
The Kappa Alpha Order!!!!!!!
Woohoo! This is very special to me because all of my cousins (including my favorite, who is like my brother) and my uncle were all members of this fraternity at this campus! Since, my husband's fraternity is no longer on campus at this time, this is the closest thing to legacy and I couldn't be happier!
