GP--can oh so relate. When I arrived for an internship, one I interviewed for and had to submit paperwork with the site approving it, I get there the first day my alleged supervisor is having a meltdown because she was dumped by her boyfriend. The rest of the staff humored her, comforted her. She asked me to come back in a few weeks, so she could deal with issues. Stupid me, I did, rather than run from that nuthouse, passing up what could have been a saner place. Nothing got better. Good luck.
