Point is, my boss is quite racist and bigoted. I cannot say to his face because most of what he says is stupid, but he is my boss. Also, he does not do it just to me, he does it to everyone, including a co-worker of mine who is Asian.
My boss said to my co-worker that he is "psycho-suicidal" because my co-worker was working very hard to finish his dissertation and graduate. My boss said it to my co-worker at the same time as the Virginia Tech incident. My boss only said that crap to my co-worker because he is Asian... My boss would have not said it to me or anyone else. Of course, he says other things to me... I guess, my boss is an equal opportunity bigot...
I guess, personally, I would care less what a non-caucasian would say about me than someone who is caucasian, especially if they are older. There is horrid history that goes along with these statements. Other cultural groups can think what they want about me and say ignorance to my face, but there are stupid statements I could say to them and now there are discrimination laws.
Is racism perpetuated by ANY ONE wrong? Yes. No one should make ignorant and bigoted statements about an entire ethnic group. People cannot help the circumstances of their births. However, I know that does not happen.
The girl who said that stuff--to bad for her. She wants to perpetuate ignorance, fine. It does not make it true. The young man she belittled based on his race sure did make her feel superior didn't it?
That woman has NO life beyond her little fence and now she has denied herself interaction with others in this world for the rest of her natural life. That is enough judgment for someone to bear. I know somehow, I doubt if anything I said would matter in the grand scheme of things.
