I am with Texas Beta and a few others on this one.

Being a talented dancer doesn't get you real far in life if this is the kind of dance you do- and it certainly is not the sort of behavior one would see in a fine Texas lady in any era (or a respectable woman from any place for that matter.)

That is just common sense. What kind of respectable guy would marry any girl who behaved like that in public?

This kind of exhibition is nothing new- it is just that we now all get to see it broadcast on the internet.

Personally I could care less- people can do as they please. But I do find it amusing the degree to which many will attempt to justify this kind of behavior and defend it- especially considering it is done in a context that degrades an entire GLO by association.

IMO, a Greek Sing Competition highlights both singing and dancing.

Here is my alma mater's 2007 winning performance by Theta and Phi Kap:

or if the 1st link is too slow to load

Do you feel this way about all of them? For everyone that seemed stripper-ish or music video bimbo, there seemed to be a group that was okay. It was kind of a group by group thing.

But again, I think the standards for everything about GLOs vary a lot campus by campus. I wouldn't ever expect to see Wet T-shirt contest become acceptable anyplace, nor would I want them to be, but dances in a variety show seems like they are going to be better left to local chapter standards in most cases.

I wonder if those chapters are going to hear from their national orgs before next years show?
